…I think T-Pain is dope.” Whenever I tell anybody that they always give me a weird look and then they’re like “But he can’t sing!” Then I refer them to this youtube video where he is actually caring a tune WITHOUT the Autotune voice effects. Their usual rebutal refers me to THIS youtube video where T-Pain is honoring the New Jack Swing era and completely singing out of his range which is also my other argument in support of his voice. Every singer has their range (with maybe the exception of Bilal). I say all this to say that whether you like his singing or not, you can’t really deny his writing OR his Beats. Most people don’t even know that he’s writing and producing a good 90% of the tracks that you hear him on. In my book, I call that Talent and apparently so does Apple who recently did a Pro Story on him and his creative abilities. Not this validates him as an artist or anything, but it kinda does validate him…for me at least. Stop sleeping/hating and listen to his music like you don’t already hear it on the radio everyday. Dude is nice with it. You’ll be surprised.
